Born May 19, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Willard Richards and Florence Grant Smith. Married Genevieve Strong on January 25, 1963 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving two missions, first in Norway, and later with his wife in Sweden. Paul loved life and always had a smile on his face. He liked the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hiking; and spent many hours water-coloring. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family.
Survived by his wife, Genevieve; children, Julie, Daniel (Lisa Marie), Scott (Lysa), Gary, Jeffrey (Kristi), Anthony, Kathryn (Jason); and grandchildren, Halley, Zephan, Hayden, Senekah, and Izabele. Preceded in death by two children, Rebecca and David; his parents; two brothers, Willard and Heber; and a sister, Sarah.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2000 in the Kaysville South Stake Center, 900 South Main. Friends and family may call on Monday, January 24, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, and 9:45-10:45 prior to services at the ward. -- In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the University of Utah Neurology Research Center.
