Lifelong Granby resident dies of illness

Mildred L. Austic, 79, of County Rte. 14, died at Lee Memorial Hospital after an attack of illness Sept. 5.

Mrs. Austic was a life resident of Granby. She was the widow of Victor G. Austic, who died in 1960. She was a member of the Little Utica United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the auxiliary of Cody Fire Department, and Granby Senior Citizens, and was the chaplain of Lamson
Grange.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Williamson of Fulton RD 3; two brothers, Raymond and Andrew Bassett, both of Fulton RD 3; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Tobin of Baldwinsville and Mrs. Doris Wilcox of Martville; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, the Rev. Pasquale R. Marafiote officiating.

Burial was in Jacksonville Cemetery.
