Kenneth P. Plank

Kenneth Pierce Plank, 96 Wyoming Avenue, died Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, of complications, after an illness of one day, aged 50 years.

Born and reared in Gettysburg, Pa., the son of C. Roy and Virgie Plank, he has resided in Hagerstown for the last 24 years. He was an engineer on the Western Maryland Railroad on the Hagerstown-to-Baltimore route. He was taken ill en route to Baltimore and was removed from the train at Walbrook, Md.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

Besides his wife. Ruth (Routzahn) Plank, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Bidle, Middletown; four sons, K. George, Huyetts; Donald J., Baltimore; Stanley Pierce and Bruce Q., Hagerstown; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Dubel, Rocky Ridge; Mrs. Sarah Kint, McKnightstown, Pa.; and Mrs. Geraldine Wise, Syracuse, N. Y.; bothers Paul, Landon, Cletus, and John, all of Gettysburg; Chester, Heidlersburg, Pa.; Howard, of Hagerstown; and Clair, Cashtown, Pa.

The body was removed to the A. K. Coffman Funeral Home, where services will be held this afternoon at four o'clock, the Rev. G. I. Rider assisted by the Rev. Dr. Scott R. Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
