Gustav H. Buske, 78, Dies in Kasson

KASSON – Gustav Herman Buske, 78, of Kasson, died at his home Friday of a heart condition. He had been ill for 2 1/2 years.

Mr. Buske was born Sept. 19, 1882, in Germany, and came to the U.S. as a child. He had resided in this area for the past 67 years and was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, the former Susie Fritts, whom he married Dec. 20, 1905, in Rochester; five sons, Gust and Ray of Inver Grove; Ernest and Murlin of Rochester, and Lyle of Kasson; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Schlee and Mrs. Archie Skare of Rochester and Mrs. Floyd Peterson of Frederic, Wis.; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Paul and Herman Buske of Rochester and Walter and Robert of Oronoco, and two sisters, Mrs. Mark Blanchard of Rochester and Mrs. Paul Rubow of Chester.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church of Rochester, of which he was a member. The Rev. Stanley Anderson will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester after 7:30 p.m. today.

Pallbearers, all grandchildren, will be Richard, Donald, Murlin J. and Marty Buske and Otto and Howard Schlee.
