Frances Skare, 73, of Rochester dies
Frances P. Skare, 73, of 1103 Buckridge Drive N.E., a lifelong Rochester resident, died Wednesday evening (June 17, 1992) at St. Marys Hospital.
Born Frances P. Buske on Nov. 14, 1918, in Salem Township, Olmsted County, she married Archie Skare on Feb. 8, 1941, in Rochester. Her husband was chief of engineering at Assisi Heights. He died June 19, 1989. Mrs. Skare had worked in alterations at J.C. Penney. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda (Mrs. Donald) Bartel of Rochester; a son, Ronald of Elma, N.Y.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Murlincq Buske of Rochester and Lyle Buske of Coleraine, Minn.; and two sisters, Marie Schlee of Rochester and Helen Peterson of Miltown, Wis. Three brothers preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Carl Schroedel officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ranfranz Funeral Home and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Peace United Church of Christ.
