Lyle G. Buske -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Lyle G. Buske, 79, of Coleraine, Minn., formerly of Rochester, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Coleraine.

Mr. Buske died Thursday (May 25, 2006) in Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn.

He was born April 24, 1927, in Rochester. He graduated from Rochester High School and lived in Kasson, St. Charles, Pengilly, Miesville and Hastings and had been a resident of Coleraine for the past 20 years. He was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Coleraine and had been active in the Knights of Columbus in Hastings. He was a navy veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific. He liked to play cribbage and fish.

Surviving are his wife, Alice; six children, Carl (Valerie) of Hastings, Brian (Debra) of St. Charles, Rebecca (Fred) Westholm of Kellogg, Steven (Karen) of Grand Rapids, Mary (Phil) Rivard of Verndale, Minn., and Lila (Dan) Dezelske of Coleraine; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Peterson of Frederick, Wis.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call one hour before the Mass at the church.

Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine is assisting the family with arrangements.
