Emma Celeste Hohn was born October 24, 1879 in Hohntown, Pennsylvania. (Hohntown was located around Irwin). She was one of 15 known children of Isaac & Theresa Jane "Jennie" (Decker) Hohn.
She married Arthur Lightowler, son of David and Sarah (Braithwaite) Lightowler, on October 18, 1899. According to family notes they were married before a Justice of the Peace with Arthur's dad, David; and Emma's brother, John Hohn; as witnesses.
Arthur and Emma had at least fifteen children, ten of them that lived beyond birth/infancy:

Arthur and Emma started their family in the Union Township area (Finleyville). Around 1916 the family moved to New England Road in West Mifflin to what is referred to by family as the Lightowler Homestead. This is where they continued to raise their children and where some of their children raised their children as well.
Emma eventually went to live with her daughter Hazel in Clairton, Pennsylvania. This is where she lived until she passed away January 2, 1959.
