Garland Howard Haskins, 74, of Huntsville died July 17, 1997, at his home in Huntsville. He was born Dec. 12, 1922, at Combs, Ark., the son of Jessie Clarence and Rachel Frances Shipp Haskins. He was a member of the Madison County Poets Society.
Survivors include two brothers, Albert Haskins of Lincoln and Elmer Haskins of Huntsville; four sisters, Mrs. Alta Faubus of Huntsville, Mrs. Iva Williams of Delaney, Mrs. Lenice Small of Clifton, Colo., and Mrs. Golda Keith of Federal Way, Wash.
Graveside services were held at the Ledbetter Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, with C. J. Jackson, minister, officiating under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
