Sharon L. Arthur, 83, of Bloomington passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 23, 1939 in Lawrence County, Indiana the daughter of Logan C. and Izolla (Hawkins) Todd.
Sharon attended Heltonville High School. She married Lowell "Sonny" Arthur on December 24, 1955 in Bedford, Indiana they were married for thirty-five years until he passed away in 1991.
Sharon worked for RCA in Bloomington for over thirty years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, watching NASCAR and IU Basketball, going different places with her husband. Sharon was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much. And enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Terry (Roxanne) Arthur of Bloomington; Gary (Kim) Arthur of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Kevin (Libby) Arthur; Ashley (Clint) Burchman; Toby (Kayla) Arthur; Heather (Jared) Cain; eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; two brothers Elmer (Sue) Todd of Springville; Alfred (Phyllis) Todd of Cloverdale; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and brother-in-law's and sister-in-law's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Izolla Todd; her husband Lowell "Sonny" Arthur; her son, Mark Arthur; and several siblings.
A private graveside service will be held for the family. She will be laid to rest by her husband at Clear Creek Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank all the people at IU Health Hospice for all their care for Sharon.
