Strausstown, June 7, Oscar S. Swoyer, aged 47,years and 10 days, died Wednesday evening at his home four miles east of this borough, from complications. He was a son of Louisa (Deisher) and the late Jacob S. Swoyer and was born in Maxatawny Township near Kutztown.
There survive his widow, Katie (Wink) , his mother and these children: Paul G., Verna L., Leon J., Earl O., Mabel M., Pauline I., Anna M.; also these brothers and sisters, Walter, Jacob G., Howard L., Elton R., all of Kutztown; Ida, Reading; Cora, wife of Clinton Braucher, Kutztown; Carrie L. wife of Charles Dougherty, Kutztown R. D.; Minnie B., Kutztown. He was a member of Zion's Blue Mountain Church, this borough.
Funeral Monday afternoon, June 11,at 1:30 o'clock at the homeof his mother, 137 East Main Street, Kutztown. Services in St. John' Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Rev. Dr. W.A. Dries, this borough, and Rev. J. W. Bittner, Kutztown, will officiate, Interment in hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Funeral Director C. E. Schucker, Rehrersburg has charge.
