Rosalee Simonis, 47, Leavenworth died suddenly Thursday in the University of Kansas Medical Center Kansas City, Kan. She was born at Greenwood, Mo., Oct. 7, 1938 the daughter of Charles T. and Elsie Frances Huntsman Hill.

She was married to John P. Simonis who survives at the Home.

Mrs. Simonis has been employed at Hallmark for the past 16 years.

Her survivors include her mother Elsie Frances Vestal, Lansing; her son Jack Gene Gann, Jr., Leavenworth, her brothers Alva F. Hill, Long Island N.Y.; Charles R. Hill Leavenworth, Earl Jack Hill, James A. Hill and Joseph M Hill all of Leavenworth.

She also is survived bye her sisters Coralee Bergman, St. Joseph, Mo.; Ruth Marie O'Rourke, Ferrellview, Mo.; and Betty Jean Linaweaver, Leavenworth; her grandsons Joshua Genen and Jeremy Robert Gann both of Leavenworth; her step-children Diana Corpstein, Potter, Julianna G. Simonis and John Joseph Simonis both of Easton.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Ray Hill.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Carmelite Church with burial in Mount Muncie Cemetery. The parish wake service will be a 7 p.m. Sunday in Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels. The family suggests memorials to the Arthritis Foundation.

Friends may call at the chapel after 11 a.m. Sunday.
