Jacob Meyers died at his home at Grand Island, Friday evening, June 17th, of blood poisoning. He was sick about two weeks and suffered the most excruciating pain. He was an old resident of Colusa county. He was born in Germany on January 24, 1820 and was therefore in his 73rd year. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss. The funeral will take place from the Catholic church at Colusa tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
