Margaret Askam called in Death; Rites Wednesday
Miss Margaret Arlene Askam 36, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday at Mt. Pleasant.
The daughter of Clark and Erma E. Finley Askam, she was born June 30, 1920, at West Liberty and had lived all her life in Muscatine County. She had made her home here at 700 Sampson Street.
Miss Askam was a member of Calvary Baptist church. She had been employed as a sorter at the Muscatine Pearl Button Co.
Surviving are her mother Mrs. Erma Askam, Muscatine; five brothers, Walter, Herbert, Lester, Leo and Clark, Jr., all of Muscatine; and six sisters, Mrs. Wilma Fiagle, Moline, Mrs. Mary Snyder, Muscatine, Mrs. Dorothy Heston, Muscatine, Mrs. Florence Thurston, Wilton, Mrs. Helen Kaalberg, West Liberty, and Mrs. Betty Birkhofer, Moscow. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of the Fairbanks Home for Funerals with the Rev. Lester Moore, Pastor of the Park Avenue Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
