She was born April 1, 1918 in the Town of Chilton daughter of the late John & Minnie (Dorn) Schmitz.
Ruth married John H. Grenzer on October 24, 1939 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. The couple farmed together for many years. John preceded her in death on November 29, 1990.
Ruth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth (Elizabeth) Grenzer of Hilbert, Mary (Joseph) Schomisch of Chilton, Barbara (Lon) Schroeder of Chilton, Joan (Michael) Slominski of Hartland, Charles (Marlene) Grenzer of Chilton, Marguerite (Kurt) Myers of Chilton; a son-in-law: Robert Suttner of Kiel; 25 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Edward (Rita) Schmitz of New Berlin, John Jr. (Liz) Schmitz of Chilton; 2 sisters: Betty O'Donnell of MI, Lori Linter of FL; and a sister-in-law: Helen Schmitz.
Ruth was also preceded in death by a daughter; Carol Suttner, a great grandchild: Marrisa Myers; 3 brothers: Robert, Donald, and Lloyd Schmitz; a sister: Grace Schmitz; a brother-in-law: William Linter; and a sister-in-law: Romilda Schmitz.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Saturday February 5, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Gary New S.D.S. officiating. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the Church from 9 - Noon on Saturday February 5, 2005 when services will be held.
