Alfred J. "Fritz" Geiser, age 94, of Chilton, a kind and gentle man with sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile was welcomed by his Lord and his beloved wife, and all his deceased family members on Sunday night, March 2, 2014 at the Calumet Medical Center.

Fritz, as he preferred to be called, was born May 22, 1919 in the Town of Charlestown to Martin & Magdalena (Gruber) Geiser, the sixth of twelve children. He married Marcella Buechel on October 9, 1945 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. The couple farmed in the Town of Charlestown together until their retirement in 1982 when they moved to Chilton. Fritz, however, still helped out on his sons' farm as often as possible, even hauling bales or rolling hay when he was 89 years old.

He was a member of St. Martin Church in Charlestown until the merger and was a current member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton. He was a choir member at St. Martin beginning in the 1930's and continued in the choir until the parishes merged. He was also a member of Catholic Financial Life, the former St. Martin Dartball Team, and St. Martin Heritage Park. He loved to do word finds, pick out hickory nuts, and played numerous hands of Sheepshead. He treasured all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and welcomed all of their visits as well as the visits from friends and other relatives. When he was able, he loved attending sporting events, concerts, and plays, especially when the grandchildren were involved.
