Funeral services for Martin Geiser, 87, of 109 E. Brooklyn St., Chilton, who died at 3 a.m. Thursday at Calumet Hospital, Chilton, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, and 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton.
The Rev. Aloysius Knier will be celebrant of the concelebrated Mass and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Geiser was born at St. Nazianz on Oct. 28, 1882, a son of Xavier and Paulina Koehler Geiser. He married Magdalena Gruber on May 18, 1909, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton.
They farmed in the Town of Charlestown, retiring in 1945 and moving to Chilton. Mr. Geiser was a trustee of St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Charlestown, for many years and was a member of the Holy Name and Mission Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton, and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, Charlestown Branch 191.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Reuben Keluter of Route 2, Chilton, Miss Alice Geiser and Mrs. Martin Schneider, both of Chilton, Mrs. Paul Kees of Hilbert and Mrs. Donald Konen of Jericho; seven sons, Norbert and Roger Geiser, both of Chilton, Arthur, Alvin, Arnold and Alfred Geiser, all of Route 4, Chilton and Gerald Geiser of Hilbert.
Mr. Geiser also is survived by 53 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
