Johanna Klein, 93, of Sioux Center, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1993 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Chiristian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Mark Vander Hart officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center.

Mrs. Klein was born July 18, 1899 in Sioux Center, the daughter of Dirk and Hermina (Nykamp) Lammers. She attended rural school southwest of Sioux Center.

She married Leendert Arie "Louis" Klein Nov. 19, 1917 in Sioux Center. The couple farmed near Sioux Center where she took an active part in the operation.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerrit (Alia) Kraayenbrink and Mina Klein, both of Sioux Center; a son, Charles and his wife Grace of Sioux Center, four grandchildren, Mrs. Leroy (Nancy) Klein of Corydon, Shirley Klein of Sioux Center, Wayne and his wife Pam Klein of Sioux Center, and Robert and his wife Judy Klein of Cedar Rapids; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Lammers of Ireton; and a sisterin-law, Johanna Vander Stoep of Orange City.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Delia in childhood; four brothers, five sisters, and a grandson, Leroy.

Pallbearers will be Adrian, Justin, Robert and Wayne Klein; William Lammers and Richard Van Donge.
