Mrs. Art L, Franken, 89, of Sioux Center, died Wednesday at her home of an apparent heart attack.
Services were Monday in the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Duane Tinklenberg oficiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Franken, the former Alice Lammers, was born June 5, 1892, near Sioux Center where she attended school. She was married May 5, 1911, in Sioux Center. The couple farmed southwest of Sioux Center. Mr. Franken died April 1, 1971.
Survivors include three sons, Alfred of Carmel, Dick of Maurice and James of Sioux Center; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Hermina) Wynia and Mrs. Gerrit (Elizabeth) Van Maanen, both of Maurice; two brothers, Ralph of Sioux Center and William of Sheldon; two sisters, Mrs. John Addink and Mrs. Louis Kline, both of Sioux Center; eight grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
