Struck by Car, Woman Killed
Members of Family See Accident Near Home.

One woman was instantly killed and several others persons were injured in an automobile and other mishaps over the weekend.

Mrs. Joanna Harmacinski, aged 59 of 1905 Lincoln Way West. Mrs. Harmacinski saw a brief case fall from a passing automobile into the street in front of her home shortly after midnight this morning and went to retrieve it. She was struck down by an automobile driven by Cameron Calder, 30, of 1218 Goodland avenue and suffered skull fracture and other injuries.

She was apparently dead when witnesses including members of her family reached her.

Calder stopped immediately. He is to be questioned today by Coroner H.J. Bolka and Deputy Paul E. Haley.
The brief case bears the name of W. F. Fisher, said to be a minister.
