Martin J. White, 714 N. Elmer St., died in Healthwin Hospital at 1:25 a.m. today after an illness of two years.
He was born in Beaver Dam. Wis., Nov. 10, 1878. His wife, Stella Szkielka, died in 1944.
Surviving are three sons, Edward J., Clem S. and Eugene G., all of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. C.F. Gassensmith, and Mrs. James McCue, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Rockwell Carrier, Mishawaka; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kalamaja, Denver, Colo.; Sister Mary Rita, Chicago; Mrs. Annette Nunn, Louisville. Ky. and Mrs. Casimir Putz, South Bend; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. White was retired from E.J. White Plumbing and Heating Co.
