Maryanna was the mother of 12 children, by 3 different husbands:

. 5 by Stanislaus Wojtysiak, who d. 1891 (m. 1881): Mary Helen (1882), Vincent (1884), Sarah (1884), Mary (1886), Theodor (1888, who died at birth)
. 1 by Joseph Kalicki, who d. 1921 (m. 1899): Annette (1902)
. She then lived 16 more years as a widow.

Obituary from p. 14 of the 6 MAR 1937 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:
. The funeral of Mrs. Maryanne Kalicka, aged 88, who died suddenly at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning in the home of her son, John Was, 1207 West Napier street, will take place at 9 o'clock Monday morning from St. Hedwige's Roman Catholic church with Rev. Francis X. Luzny, C. S. C., pastor, chanting the high requiem mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Polish cemetery. The body may be viewed now in the Was residence, 1207 West Thomas street. Mrs. Kalicka was born in Poland Feb. 22, 1849, and came to South Bend from that country. 70 years ago. Surviving are the son, John Was; a stepson [sic. - actually a son], Martin Wojtysiak, of South Bend; four sisters [sic. - should be daughters], Sister M. Rita, of Chicago; Mrs. S. J. Kalamaja, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Mary- Putz, of South Bend, and Mrs. Annette Logan, of Kentucky: three sisters Mrs. Frances Kzepka, of Terre Coupe, this county: Mrs. Rose Urbanski and Mrs. Mary Paczesny, both of South Bend; 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
