Frances "Idalee" Curtis lived most of her last years near Yarrow, Missouri (rural Kirksville). She was 85 years old when she passed away on a Wednesday morning, October 14, 2009 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Idalee was born on November 19, 1923 in Adair County, Missouri, a daughter of Arthur Thomas and Lottie Pearl (Belfield) Easley. She united in marriage to Eldon Henderson, her first husband, he preceded her in death in 1948. She married Harlen Curtis in 1952, they divorced after several years of marriage.

She was survived by her son (by her first husband), and his wife of Fremont, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and other relatives and many friends.
Idalee lived most of her life in Adair county, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, collecting antiques, attending auctions and flea markets. Idalee had been employed as a seamstress for Florsheim Shoe Company in Kirksville, Missouri for several years.

Graveside services and burial was on October 21, 2009 at the Bell Cemetery, northwest of Elmer, Missouri with Bro. Barry Richardson officiating.
