ARTHUR EASLEY

Arthur Thomas Easley, seventy-five, of near South Gifford, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Kirksville rest home. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was born October 14, 1882 in Adair County, the son of William and Ida Ricketts Easley.

On September 14, 1904 he was married to Miss Lottie Pearl Belfield and they had spent their entire married life on a farm six miles northwest of Gifford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; one son and one sister.

Surviving are his wife of the home; six children, Mrs. Ruth Helm of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Ruby Magers, Mrs. Gleneva Trowbridge, Mrs. Lula Wood, Mrs. Ida Lee Curtis and Mrs. Nadine Gray, all of La Plata; four sons, Grover of Novelty, Truman of West Plains, Stanley of Elmer and Ray of Atlanta. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Nellie Keithley of Gifford and three brothers, Irvin of Gifford and Aurra and Oscar of Kirksville.

Funeral services are this afternoon at 2:00 at the Mt. Carmel Church with burial in the nearby cemetery. McCollum Funeral Home in Gifford is in charge.
