GLENEVA TROWBRIDGE
---Gleneva Trowbridge, age 83, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away on Friday morning (July 30, 1999), at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
---Born on February 12, 1916, at Yarrow, Missouri, she was the daughter of Arthur Thomas and Lottie Pearl (Belfield) Easley. On June 12, 1932, in Randolph County, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Robert Henry Trowbridge, who preceded her in death in 1953.
---She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Truman, Harrison, Stanley and Grover; three sisters, Ruby, Ruth and Bonnie; and a daughter in infancy, Lois Imogene.
---Survivors include one daughter, Ramona Green and her husband, J. C. of Fenton, Michigan; two sons, Madison B. Trowbridge of Carney, Oklahoma and Delbert C. Trowbridge and his wife, Billie of Ottumwa, Iowa; two stepchildren, Mildred Wood of Marceline, Missouri and Hurschel Trowbridge of Independence, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray T. Easley of Elmer, Missouri; three sisters, Lula Wood of La Plata, Missouri, Idalee Curtis of Yarrow, Missouri, and Nadine Gray of La Plata, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
---Gleneva had attended the Hayes School in rural Adair County, Missouri. She had resided in La Plata, Missouri, since 1943, and had been employed at De-Lish Poultry and the MFA Egg Division. She loved and enjoyed the outdoors, her garden, the birds, and her grand babies. She also had attended the Gifford Christian Church.
---Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (August 2, 1999), at Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta, Missouri, with Reverend John Gorham officiating. Musical selection was "Amazing Grace" with Reverend John Gorham as vocalist and Sue Cavender as organist.
---Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta, Missouri. Pallbearers were Wayne Green, John Collins, Bob Trowbridge, Gaylon Stokes, Bob Trowbridge, Gaylon Stokes, Matthew Hobbs and Dan Brinker. Honorary bearers were Mike Rujmschlag, Robert H. Trowbridge, Neal Trowbridge and Mike Lambert.
