Mrs. Joseph Baumgartner, 71, St. Nazianz, died at her home Sunday night after a lingering illness. Born May 14, 1892 in the Town of Schleswig, she was the daughter of Matthias and Theresa (Moerchen) Loos. She was married to Joseph Baumgartner on Sept. 2, 1912, in St. Nazianz. Mrs. Baumgartner was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Gregory's Catholic Church in St. Nazianz.
Surviving are her husband; a son Ervin of St. Nazianz; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Stahl, R. 1, New Holstein; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Mertz and Mrs. George Loessel of St. Nazianz; and eight grandchildren and six great greandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Christianson Funeral Home in St. Nazianz, to be followed by a requiem high Mass at St. Gregory's, the Rev. Denis Cooney, celebrant. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
