Isaacs rites Sept. 29
Funeral services for George T. Isaacs, 77, were conducted Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Tonsing Fusselman Perry Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Rev. Ben Bobbett and Rev. William Hudspeth officiated. Isaacs died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Bryan Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.
Ross McWilliams, Don Lewis, Vernon Wilhelm, Preston Taylor and Vern Pickerill were pallbearers. Mrs. Ronald Henry was organist and Everett Baker sang.
Lyle, William, Larry, Timothy and Robert Isaacs and Mark Dixon were honary pallbearers.
George T. Isaacs was born Sept. 17, 1902, at Brownville, son of Charles Walter and Ellen Louise ( Purdy) Isaacs. He and Elsie Wilson were married July 27, 1927, at Cottonwood Falls, Kan. He moved to the Unadilla area in 1917. He retired from farming and moved into Unadilla in 1968.
He was a member of the Christian Church, Unadilla.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; six sons, George Jr. Of Dix, Leslie of Ravenna, Leland of Walton, Donald of Malcolm, Ronald and Leonard of Unadilla; four daughters, Frances Mangen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Dixon of La Vista, Mrs. Fred (Judith) Merriman and Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Aden, Lincoln.
Also surviving are 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three brothers, Chester of Otoe, Floyd of Unadilla, and Kenneth of Lincoln.
He was preceded by a seven -year-old daughter, Juanita, and 18 year-old son, Elting in 1960, and two grandchildren.
Internment was in the Unadilla Cemetery, Tonsing Fusselman Perry Funeral Home was in charge.
