Death Sudden for Mrs. Nellie Bruns
Nellie Maud Bruns, 66, of Nebraska, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at her home in Otoe after suffering an apparent Heart attack.
Daughter of Walter and Ellen Isaacs, she was born Dec. 9, 1903, at Brownville, Nebr. She married Fred Bruns on Oct. 28, 1943 at Hiawatha, Kansas.
Her family moved from Brownville to Unadilla, where Mrs. Bruns lived until her marriage to Mr. Bruns. She had lived at Otoe since 1943.
Surviving are her husband, Fred; one daughter, Mrs. Leon (Dorothy) Casey of Dunbar; two sons, Harvey of Murray, Nebr. and Alton of Otoe; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Dean Isaacs, Detroit, Mich., John Isaacs, Dix, Nebr. Kenneth Isaacs, Lincoln, George, Floyd and Carrol Isaacs, all of Unadilla, and Chester Isaacs, Otoe.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 4, at the Tonsing Funeral Home in Syracuse with Dr. R.M. Sauberzweig officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery at Otoe.
Pallbearers were Joy Isaacs, Mike Bruns, Johnny Casey, Buddie Bruns, Darrell Isaacs, John Isaacs.
