Funeral services for Frederick A. Schmahl, 76, of 624 Calumet Ave., Kiel, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel.
He died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack in his home Friday morning.
The Rev. Robert L. Johnston, pastor of Community United Church of Christ, Elkhart Lake, will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Town of Rhine.
He was born Feb. 1, 1901, in the Town of Rhine, a son of Henry and Katherine Reineck Schmahl. He attended district schools.
March 7, 1941, he married Dora Reese Glasow. The couple lived on the Schmahl homestead farm and later lived in Glenbeulah. Mrs. Schmahl died on Oct. 16, 1971.
Feb. 1, 1973, he married Lydia Voss LaBudde. After marriage, they lived in Kiel.
Mr. Schmahl was a member of Community United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow; four step-daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Hilda,,sic..Huldina) Conrad of New Holstein, Mrs. Willis (Irene) Pagel and Miss Viola Glasow, both of Kiel, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Corcoran of Alberquerque, N.M.; tow step-sons, Edwin and Norman Glasow.
Seven sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9p.m. Sunday and until the time of services on Monday.
