Born May 2, 1884, in the Town of Rhine, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmahl. She attended district school and married Philip J. Kuhn on Jan. 18, 1910, in the Town of Rhine.
Following their marriage they lived in Ripon for one year before movig to Plymouth where they resided until 1923 when they made their home in Elkhart Lake.
When her husband, a professional photographer, died in 1961, she moved to Little Elkhart Lake.
They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1960.
Mrs. Kuhn was a member of the Community United Church of Christ of Elkhart Lake, a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the church's Dorcas Circle.She had been employed by Seiben's Hotel.
Survivors are two sons, Hugo of Elkhart Lake, and Orrin of Little Elkhart Lake; three grandchildren; one brother , Fred Schmahl of Glenbeulah; and one sister, Miss Minnie Schmahl, also of Glenbeulah.
She was preced in death by an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Community United Church of Christ of Elkhart Lake with the Rev. Stanley L. Kuck, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in the Town of Rhine.
Friends may call at the Wittkopp's Funeral Home in Plymouth from 2p.m. Wednesday until 11a.m Thursday and at the church from noon until the time of services.
