Elizabeth M. Schmahl
Miss Elizabeth M. Schmahl, 58, died suddenly of a heart attack at her farm home in the Town of Rhine. She had been in ill health for a number of years.
A daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Reineck Schmahl, she was born in the Town of Rhine on Nov.. 1, 1894. She attended Lime Ridge School in the township and was confirmed in 1908 at Trinity Reformed Church, Elkhart Lake, by the Rev. Adolph Ruehlmann. She always resided on the Town of Rhine farm of her late parents.
Surviving are three brothers, Christian and Fred, at home, Rev. Carl Schmahl, Cleveland, Manitowoc County, and two sisters, Mrs. Philip Kuhn, Elkhart Lake, and Miss Minnie Schmahl at home.
Services will be held at 1:30p.m. Wednesday at the Raeder Funeral Home, Elkhart Lake, and 2 o'clock at the Community Evangelicial Reformed Church with the Rev. Paul A. Olm officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Reformed Cemetery, Town of Rhine.
Friends may call at the Ekhart Lake funeral home from Tuesday noon.

Funeral services for Miss Elizabeth M. Schmahl, who died at her home in the town of Rhine Sunday, were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Raeder Funeral Home, Elkhart Lake, and at 2 o'clock at the Community Evangelical and Reformed Church in that village, with the REv. Paul A. Olwm officiating.
Burial was in the Trinity Reformed Cemetery in the town of Rhine.
Pallbearers were: Elmer, Lester and Roland Kuhn, Clarence Manthey, Howard Schuler and Alvin Sixel.
Mrs. Roland Gosse and Mrs. Owen Rowlands sang "In The Garden" and "It Is Well With My Soul" during the church services, with Mrs. Rowlands playing the organ.
