Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls, with Rev. John A. Cotter officiating, for Mrs. Mae DeRoshia French, 53, wife of Homer French, Lost Nation-Plumbrook Rd., who suffered a severe stroke at her home Saturday evening and passed away in Massena Memorial Hospital at 6 o'clock Sunday evening. Mrs. French had been in Massena on a shopping trip Saturday afternoon. Returning to her home, she went out to the service station which they conducted at the farm home. She was gone longer than seemed necessary and members of her family went to summon her and found her lying unconscious on the floor, as a result of the stroke. She was taken immediately to the hospital. Her daughter, Mrs., Everett (Louise} Munson, Winthrop, accompanied her to the hospital and remained there with her. Mrs. French was born in North Stockholm, one of six children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank DeRoshia. She and Mr. French had lived on their present farm for 12 years. Survivors are: Homer French, her husband; her parents and 11 children, Mrs. Everett (Louise) Munson and Mrs. Donald (Marion) Jackson, Winthrop, Mrs. Wayne (Harriet) Stark, Winthrop-Massena Rd., Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Brothers, Norwood, Harvey French, Raymondville, Francis French, Massena-Winthrop Rd., Wilfred D. French, who received his honorable discharge from the army last month and who is now employed, at the aluminum plant, Melvin, Robert, Earl, and Ida Mae French, all at home; four sisters and one brother, Mrs. John (Bernice) Wake, Potsdam, the Misses Eva, Ethel and Etta DeRoshia, North Stockholm, Edward DeRoshia, Syracuse; 12 grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews.

Francis Connors, pastor of the church officiated. Mrs. French was born on June 5, 1892, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Derouchie. In 1909 she was married to Homer French, and since that time they have resided on their farm outside of Norwood.
Surviving are her husband and 11 children: Harvey and Francis of Massena; Mrs. Everett (Louise) Munson of Winthrop; Mrs. Wayne (Hattie) Stark of Massena; Mrs. Donald (Marion) Jackson of Winthrop; Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Brothers of Potsdam, Wilfred, Melvin, Robert. Arthur and Ida French, all at home. One brother and four sisters also survive.
The body was put in the vault in Norwood for burial in the spring in Calvary cemetery.
