Francis H. French, 52, Massena-Winthrop Rd. was found dead at his home Sunday morning Sept. 1, 1968, at 9 o'clock by children in his family. The body is at the Phillips Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in Sacred Hearts Church and burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery. His wife, Mrs. Una Mary Sova French, died Sepy. 30, 1966 at the age of 47. Mr. French is survived by four sons, William French, Moira, Thomas French, 18, Stephen French,17, and Francis French Jr., 5, all at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Jane) Hebert, Plumbrook rd., Mrs. Timothy (Betty) Gardens, Route 3, Miss Kathleen French,16, at home; seven grandchildren; three brother, Robert French, Madrid, Melvin French, Route 3, William French, California; five sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Brothers, Potsdam; Mrs. Donald (Marion) Jackson, Winthrop; Mrs. Wayne (Hattie) Stark, Route 3,; Mrs. Robert (Ida) Shantie, Lewiston, Idaho and Mrs. Everett (Louise) Munson, Sanfordville. Mr. French was born in Ogdensburg on Christmas day, 1916, a son of Homer and May Derouchie French. He attended schools in Norfolk and married Miss Una Mary Sova in Sacred Heart Church 28 years ago. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Alcoa 25 year club.
