Mrs. Eliza Nichols Abdon, 79, of 1330 High St., died Tuesday at 11:40 a.m. at Mercy Hospital.

She was a native of Greenup County, Ky.

Her first husband, Haves [Hayes] Aldridge, died in 1939, and her second husband, John Abdon, died in 1964.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jose Hahn of Pittsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Robert Malone, 2405 Norway Rd.; three brothers, Earl Nichols of West Portsmouth, Robert Nichols of Sciotoville and Orville Nichols of Broadway St.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are to be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at South Shore, Ky. Regular Baptist Church under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore. Elders Garland Mullins and Ivory Sowards are to officiate, with burial in Siloam Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight, from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and until the funeral hour Friday.
