Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Mon. Feb. 9, 1970, p. 21:2. Funeral services for Leo J. Beyer, who died Thursday, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Pastor Karl Gurgel officiating. Earl Roloff was the organist and Gordon Pape, the soloist. Burial was in Estabrooks Cemetery. The pallbearers were Al Hess, Clark Woodruff, August Lieflander, David Haak, Elmer Anderson and Leo Soll. Military services were conducted by Trier-Puddy Post 75 American Legion Firing Squad. Color bearers were Arthur Mossong and Joseph Karst; color guards were Henry Rucks and Elmer Root; firing detail included John Pitas, Tage Swanson, Edson Stubbs, Leo Marcoe, Albert Balthazor and T.E. Sullivan; bugler was Charles Nowak and commander was L.E. McEnroe.
