Belmont, MS~~Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 15, 1965, at the Belmont Church of Christ, for Mrs. Dora Lucille James Malone where she was a faithful member, with Bro. Tommye Rosenbloom and Jerry Steele officiating. Mrs. Malone was baptized into Christ about 1907 at the Pleasant Site Church of Christ by O. G. Brady. Burial was in the Malone Cemetery plot at the Lindsey Cemetery, near Dennis.

Mrs. Malone, born Jan. 01, 1893, age 72, life expired on Thursday afternoon, May 13th. 1965, at the Community Hospital in Tupelo, with all of the family at her bedside. She had the misfornuate of falling and breaking a hip on May 04th., and suffered a stroke. She was the widow of Earnie Malone who preceded her in death in 1954. She and Earnie were married Feb. 22, 1910 at Pleasant Site, by Sid Winchester. She was a native of Ala. but had resided in Belmont for 35 years.

Survivors include six daughters; Clara Searcy, of Dennis, Gealdine Sartain and Lorene Haynie of Corinth, Deck Posey, Rachel Bruton of Belmont and Virgie Waddle, Zion, Ill. and six sons; Virgle of Coldwater, Elree and Preston of Belmont, Lumis Malone of Horn Lake, MS, Sgt. Reece W. Malone of the US Air Force, stationed in Alaska, and Wayne (Sam) Malone of the US Air Force, stationed in Nashille, Tenn. Three sisters; Floy Gardner and Kate Spicher, of Memphis, and Daisye Brown of Belmont, two brothers, John James of Memphis, and Wilson E. of Savannah, Ill.; 21 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
