MALONE RITES HELD NOV. 21, 1987

Horn Lake, MS~~Lumis Monroe Malone, 63, life expired Thursday, November 19, 1987 at the Methodist Hospital South in Memphis, Tenn. He was born February 29, 1924 in Tishomingo Co., to Earnie and Lucy Malone. He was a retired clerk for I.C.& G. railroad in Memphis. Malone was an Army World War II veteran, spending about 3 1/2 years and was discharged as a Tec. 4, and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ at Dennis, Miss.

Funeral services were Sat. Nov. 21 at the Memphis Funeral Home-Union Chapel, in Memphis, with Winston Wilemon officiating. Burial was in New Bethlehem Cemetery in Horn Lake, MS.

Married June 15, 1969 to Polly Sisk Logan.

Survivors include his wife, Polly Sisk Logan, of Horn Lake, four stepsons; Terry Logan, of Southhaven, Jerry Logan, of Horn Lake, Dave and Dan Logan, both of Hernando.
Six sisters; Clara Searcy, of Dennis, Geraldine Sartain and Lorene Haynie, both of Corinth, Deck Posey, Virgie Waddle, and Rachel Bruton, all of Belmont. Three brothers; Elree and Preston of Belmont, and Wayne (Sam) of LaVergne, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Virgle Malone of Coldwater, and Reece Malone, of Belmont.
