Cecil Plaster, 53, of the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Va., died Tuesday in a RIchlands, Va., hospital following a long illness. A life long resident of Russell County, Va., he was the son of the late Mark and Mary Richardson Plaster.

He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army and was a retired miner formerly employed by the Jewell Valley Coal Company in Jewell Valley, Va. He was a member of the UMWA local 7327 at Jewell Ridge and the Pine Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Mae Plaster; two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Ruby) Whited and Mrs. Jimmy (Brenda) Boyd of Swords Creek, Va.; three sons, David Wayne Plaster, Jerry Lee Plaster and Larry Cecil Plaster, all of Swords Creek, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew Newberry of Richlands, Va., Mrs. Marvin Richardson, Mrs. Junior Robinette and Mrs. Reece Robinette, all of Swords Creek; three brothers, Clarence Plaster and Charlie Plaster, both of Swords Creek, Va., and William A. Plaster of Raven, Va.; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pine Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ancil Childress, Rev. Truel Brown and Rev. Jessee Miller officiating Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Pine Creek.

Pallbearers will be Oris Richardson, Jackie Richardson, Glen Allen Richardson, Billy Plaster, Howard Robinette, Billy Robinette, Larry Wayne Plaster and Stevie Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Wells, Douglas Jackson, Jim Richardson, Harry Richardson, James Miller, Harold Richardson, Donald Richardson and Willie Newberry.

Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker.
