Clarence Jay Plaster, 63, of Swords Creek, Va., died early Friday morning at his home following a long illness.

Born in Russell County, Va., he was a son of the late Mark and Mary Richardson Plaster. He was a retired timber man and was a member of the Holiness church.

Survivors include four sister, Mrs. Andrew Newberry of Richlands, Va., Mrs. Hazel Richardson, Mrs. Exie Robinette and Mrs. Gladys Robinette, all of Swords Creek; two brothers, Charlie Plaster of Swords Creek and William Andrew Plaster of Raven, Va.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Tazewell County Funeral Home Chapel in Cedar Bluff with Rev. Clyde Sparks, Rev. Truell Brown and Rev. Jessie Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Plaster Cemetery at Swords Creek. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call.
