Charlie Albert Plaster, age 73, of the Pine Creek section of Route 1, Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Friday in a Richlands, Virginia hospital following an extended illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Swords Creek, he was a son of the late Mark and Mary Richardson Plaster. He attended the Pine Creek Holiness Church and was a retired coal miner and cowner of the Plaster Coal Company at Swords Creek. He was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Arillis (Chick) Plaster on February 10, 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosa Plaster of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Teddy (Dorothy) Dye of Honaker and Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Keen of Swords Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Saley Newberry of Richlands, Virginia, Mrs. Hazel Richardson, Mrs. Exie Robinette and Mrs. Gladys Robinette all of Swords Creek; one brother, Andrew Plaster of Raven, Virginia; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1:00 PM in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Richardson and Rev. Jessie Miller officiating. Interment followed in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.

Pallbearers were Wayne Plaster, Gerald Newberry, Charlie Keen, Brian Keen, Rusty Dye, Kenny Dye, David Richardson and Darrell Pruett. Honaker Funeral Home was in charge.
