SPARTA -- Funeral services for Daisy Steele Stone, 86, of Sparta will be held on Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will be at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
Mrs. Stone died on Thursday, April 1, 2004, in Nashville, TN.
She was born Sept. 16, 1917, in White County to the late Ben and Bertha Hicks Steele. Mrs. Stone was a homemaker and member of the Peeled Chestnut Methodist Church.
Her family includes two sons, Charles Stone of Cookeville, Jimmy Stone of Maryville;
four daughters, Dixie Phifer, Dean Fleaher, Sandra Lewis, Paula Tompkins, all of Sparta;
one sister, Jane Graves of Sparta;
12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and
one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis T. Stone.
Tommy Lee Davis and Harvey Newfelt will officiate at the services.
