ALVIN P GEISER

Alvin Peter Geiser age 92 passed away peacefully on Friday March 3, 2006 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

He was born July 10, 1913, the son of Martin & Magdalena (Gruber) Geiser, in the Town of Charlestown, Calumet County, where he spent his entire life.

He married Marie Margaret Kolbe on November 15, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2001.

He farmed in the Town of Charlestown until his retirement, after which he continued to tend his large garden, orchard, and yard. He loved to raise strawberries, melons, squash, and tomatoes in his vegetable garden and irises and roses among other flowers. Alvin kept a beautifully manicured lawn, mowing it frequently. He was a great baseball fan, playing catcher for the Hayton team in his youth and now listening to the Brewer's games whenever he could. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Charlestown from the time of his baptism until it's closing, and was now a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton. He was also a member of the Catholic Knights for over 75 years.

He is survived by a daughter: Judy (Charles) Zarnoth of Chilton; 5 grandchildren: Alan Zarnoth of Chilton, Paul (Micheline Magnotta) Zarnoth of Pleasant Hill, CA, Chris (Eddie) Schnell of Green Bay, Kathy (Terry) Mooren of Kiel, Eric (Jasie) Zarnoth of Minneapolis; 3 great grandchildren: Kassidy & Jacob Mooren, Emily Schnell; brothers & sisters: Loretta Keuler, Arnold Geiser, Alfred Geiser, Alice Geiser, Leona Schneider, Evelyn (Donald) Konen, Gerald Geiser, Roger (Lois) Geiser, all of Calumet County; and a brother-in-law: Paul Kees of Calumet County. He is further survived by numerous nieces & nephews, especially Wilmer Geiser who watched over him daily in his later years.
