Florence C. Bloms, 97, Minot, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at a Minot nursing home.
Florence was born on April 13, 1916, in rural Carpio, ND, the daughter of William and Mathilda Bloms. She was raised and educated in rural Carpio.
In the 1940's Florence moved to Minot where she began working at various business establishments and attended Minot Business College. In 1950, Florence moved to Spokane, WA where she worked for two years before returning to Minot in 1952. Florence went to work at American Bank where she worked for 12 years then Ellison's Department Store where she worked for 13 years and later at the Ward County Courthouse in the Treasurer's Office where she retired from in 1981.
Survivors: sister, Irene Bloms, Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Frank, Joseph, Raymond, Edward, Arnold, Alex, and Leonard Bloms.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
