CARPIO FARMER FATALLY SHOT

Frank Bloms, 31, of the Carpio vicinity, was killed accidentally Saturday afternoon near his farm home when a gun which he was carrying apparently discharged as he climbed thru a wire fence, it was reported here.

The bullet struck Bloms in the right temple and it was believed by members of the family that he had been killed instantly. Bloms had been hunting gophers.

Alarmed when the young man did not return for the evening meal, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bloms, started a search for him.

The body was found at midnight about three-fourths of a mile from the farm home by members of the Foxholm C. C. C. camp, who had volunteered aid. He had left home at 2:30 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Dahle funeral home at Carpio and final services will be held at St. Henry's church near the home Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bloms had made his home with his parents on their farm. Unmarried, he was born September 21, 1907, near Carpio.
