Irene M. Bloms, 91, Minot, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in a Minot nursing home.
Irene was born on December 16, 1925, in rural Carpio, ND, the daughter of William C. and Mathilda E. (Keller) Bloms. She was raised and educated in Muskego Township, Renville County rural Carpio, ND. Irene moved to Minot in the late 1940’s where she went to work at various businesses before attending Minot Business College for 2 years. She was employed at Union National Bank for three years and then began employment with Northern States Power Company in 1953 retiring in 1983.
Irene was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and St. Theresa’s Altar Society.
Survivors: numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Frank, Joseph, Raymond, Edward, Arnold, Alex and Leonard and sister Florence.
