Raymond B. Bloms was born June 17, 1912 at Carpio, the son of William and Mathilda (Keller) Bloms, and was reared at Carpio. He served in the North Dakota National Guard, and in 1941 he began active duty with the Army and served in the North African and Italian campaigns. Following his discharge in 1945 he returned to North Dakota and was a businessman at Voltaire and Plaza until retiring.
