COOK - William Leslie Cook, son of Andrew B. and Isabelle Cook, was born Nov. 1, 1897 and passed from this life Sept. 3, 1966 at the age of 68 years.

On Sept. 1, 1921 he was united in marriage to Florence Ann Smith. To this union 10 children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Wilma A. Fortune, of Des Moines, William L. Cook Jr., of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary I. King, of Chariton, George Cook, of Des Moines, Mrs. Thelma L. Egbert, of Des Moines, Howard E. Cook, of Des Moines, Dale F. Cook, of Sac City, Mrs. Ruby A. Walker, of Des Moines, Mrs. Vera M. Walker, of Des Moines and Mrs. Sharon P. Estes, of Knoxville.

There are also 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Orval L. Cook, of Russell, Walter E. Cook, of Cambria, John M. Cook, of Chariton and Clarence G. Cook, of Osceola; one sister, Mrs. Edith M. Hull, of Burlington and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; mother, father and three brothers, Tilman L. Cook, Earl H. Cook and David O. Cook and one sister, Esther M. Edgerton.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1966 at 1:30 p.m., at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor John Bauserman officiating. Interment was at Fry Hill cemetery.
