Daughter of John Brunts, Sr. and his first wife. Fanny was one of 12 children born to this first marriage, 11 daughters and 1 son. Fanny married June 8, 1843 Thomas Flannery b. Nov 10 1820 Lee Co. VA and died April 25, 1889 in Platte County. (Information from Annals of Platte Co. MO by Wm. Paxton.)
Their children were:
1. John B. Flannery b. June 14, 1844. Married April 7, 1868 Alice Freeland, daughter of H.J. Freeland. Mr. Flannery is a gentleman of superior business qualifications. He was deputy sheriff and collector under George W. Belt, and was elected county treasurer in 1868; was in the insurance business and cashier of the Bank of Parkville, and was considered one of the most reliable business men of the county, but in 1886 his health failed and he removed with his family to Colorado where he now resides. John and and Alice had: Thomas H. Flannery, Minnie F, John C., Nora A, Anna E and William K. Mr. Flannery was a Knight Templar. My note: John B Flannery b. 1844 died Sept 19 1919 in San Antonio Texas. His obituary mentioned the following family: Mrs. Alice Flannery, T.H. Flannery, W.K. Flannery, Minnie Flannery and Annie Flannery.

2.Missouri A. Flannery b. Dec 14, 1846 married May 10, 1866, James H. Daniel, son of Shelby Daniel. James H. Daniel born in Kentucky 1835.

3. James F. Flannery b. Jan 13 1849 d. May 2 1891. He was a genial, kind-hearted gentleman, social and exceedingly agreeable in his manners. He was engaged in mercantile ventures, at several places and times, but was too generous and accommodating to gather wealth. He received an academic education at Platte City Academy and was highly esteemed as a business man. He was elected county treasurer in 1878, over James Adkins by a vote of 889 to 684, and was re-elected in 1880 without opposition. He was a Knight Templar, and at one time mayor of Platte City. He married Feb 9 1870, Mary L. Mason, daughter of R.F. Mason. She was born July 17 1849 and died Nov 24 1877. Their children:

She possessed intelligence, personal graces and religious zeal. She died childless at Platte City August 1887, much lamented. Mr. Flannery's life was the visit of a price to his garden: he plucked flowers, inhaled their fragrance, cast them to the ground and left to return no more. I knew and admired both his wives. I paid to each at her death a poetic tribute. (two poems here, not typed in, see original text.)
