Mrs. Addink, the former Jennie Lammers, was born Jan. 7, 1889, in Sioux Center and was a lifelong area resident. She married John Addink Feb. 3, 1910, in Sioux Center. They lived in Doon for two years and then moved to a farm near Sioux Center. In 1936 they retired to town. He died in 1966.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. John (Gertrude) DeGroot, Mrs. John (Minnie) Byl, Mrs. Albert (Dena) Van Riesen and Mrs. Peter (Alice) DeGroot, all of Sioux Center and Mrs. William (Hattie) Verdoorn of Hospers; two sons, Dick of Sioux Center and Henry of Orange City; two brothers, William of Sheldon and Ralph of Sioux Center; one sister, Mrs. Johanna Klein of Sioux Center; 25 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
